A beautiful vintage Sarah Coventry Peta-Lure demi-parure dating to 1962. This coordinated three-piece set includes a dimensional floral brooch and matching clip-on earrings, all in warm gold tone.
Layers of sculptural openwork petals intertwine with finely textured leaves and smaller petals, finished with a polished gold-tone bead at the centre. The mix of smooth and textured surfaces gives wonderful depth. The brooch is approximately 1¾ inches across and the earrings around 1 inch. Sold as a complete set.
About the maker: Sarah Coventry was founded in 1949 in Newark, New York, and became one of the best-known names in mid-century costume jewelry. Rather than selling in stores, its pieces were sold at home jewelry parties hosted by local "Fashion Show Directors", so many Canadian and American women built their collections one party at a time. The company had a strong presence in Canada, and its signed pieces are now popular with collectors.
