A striking vintage signed Miracle brooch featuring a large polished natural stone cabochon in soft yellow-green tones, with beautiful cloudy marbling and natural variation throughout.
The oval stone is framed by an ornate antiqued silver-tone setting with openwork geometric detailing and raised bead accents, giving it the distinctive Celtic Revival / Scottish-inspired look associated with Miracle jewellery. Signed βMIRACLEβ on the reverse, with its original pin and clasp.
About the maker: Miracle jewellery was made in Birmingham, England, from the 1940s, and is best known for Celtic and Scottish-inspired designs set with agate-style and glass stones. Signed Miracle pieces are a favourite with collectors of British costume jewellery.
